West Coventry Academy Donation
Students and staff at West Coventry Academy Sixth Form have raised an amazing £2,178.71 for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
To donate this fantastic amount of money, the students organised a charity rugby match against another school’s team last year, which West Coventry Academy won, and fundraised the £2,178.71 as part of the event.
This is a fantastic result. Earlier in the year in a separate fundraising effort, students and staff generated £610 for our charity by organising a tuck shop.
The headteacher invited a representative from CW Mind to accept a cheque in the Sixth Form’s morning assembly and CW Mind Ambassador, Dee Hodgson, spoke to the students about the mental health issues she experienced before receiving the support of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
What Dee had to say gave students more of an insight into the work of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, what we do to support people who are struggling and the services their donations will be supporting.
We are so grateful their support and donations.
