About The Role 

We are currently looking for two Community Support Workers to join our existing team within the Community Support Service. 

You will provide mental health support to service users.  The service is accessed via professional referral and is delivered in the home of the service user, in the community, or via telephone or video link to service users with varying mental health issues, including those with enduring needs.  The service aims to enable people to re-engage with community and gain independence and a good quality of life.  This service is open 365 days per year and includes weekend and evening working on a rota basis.

You Will Have Experience of: 

  • Offering person-centred support interventions to vulnerable adults
  • Providing a wide range of practical and emotional support interventions
  • Support planning and carrying out regular reviews through use of outcomes measurement tools
  • Liaising with a wide range of agencies
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and technological)

 

Essential criteria include:

  • Experience of working with adults with mental health issues
  • Experience of carrying/being responsible for a caseload and working with service users in a mentoring/support role
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people to address complex emotional and multiple support needs
  • Experience of carrying/being responsible for a caseload and working with service users in a mentoring/support role
  • Experience of using electronic database systems and information technology

    • Flexible Working – A range of options available for all employees, after completing 26 weeks of service, dependent on role and responsibilities. This includes, working patterns, working in CWM venues, and working remotely.
    • Pension – Minimum 5% employee contribution and 3% employer contribution, with an ethical investment policy option.
    • Sick pay – On passing the probationary period, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind employees will be entitled to paid sick leave.
