Purpose of the job:

We are looking for Mental Health Workers to work within our Children and Young People’s Services, to be involved in the delivery of a range of prevention and early intervention activities within schools, community venues and Coventry and Warwickshire Mind buildings, across Coventry and Warwickshire, for children and young people aged 5-18 years.  The activities will consist of mental health awareness sessions via assemblies, delivering resilience workshops, and offering 1:1 facilitated self-help provision.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of agencies.
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to work well as part of a diverse and dispersed team.
  • An ability to effectively engage with young people and their families.
  • Up to date knowledge of mental health, specifically in relation to children and young people.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • An ability to travel to venues across Coventry and Warwickshire.
  • Must have access to a vehicle as means of transport.
