GoodGym Lends a Hand

A huge thank you to the 14 runners from GoodGym who not only ran 4.0km, in the rain, to our Wellbeing Hub in Coventry, but when they arrived did a fantastic spring clean of the entire hub in which we hold various social and support groups all year round to help those in the community who may be struggling with their mental health.

The team of runners cleaned, swept, painted, sorted and mopped every room leaving our Wellbeing Hub looking brand new. We also got the chance to tell them a bit more about what services and support we offer at the Hub so they could see how much their work was benefiting Coventry and Warwickshire Mind. We are so greatful for the support and time all of the runners gave to us and our Coventry Hub.

“A massive thank you to GoodGym, Liz Pharoah and her amazing team of volunteers. They came to our mental health drop-in and worked their socks off, cleaning and painting to give our hub a face lift. We couldn’t be more grateful, and I am sure our members will appreciate it too!”

About GoodGym

GoodGym is a community of runners that combine getting fit with doing good. They stop off on their runs to do physical tasks for community organisations and to support isolated older people with social visits and one-off tasks they can’t do on their own. It’s a great way to get fit, meet new people and do some good. As long as you’re up for getting sweaty, everyone’s welcome.
