Garden Makeover at Cooper’s

Teams from Coventry Building Society have worked hard to transform our garden at Cooper’s Lodge in Coventry. They spared three days of their time to complete the work and did a great job which exceeded all expectations..

Coventry Building Society has chosen us as their chosen charity of the year and have done so much in supporting our charity over the years including taking part in numerous fundraisers and events such as the Draycote 10k Challenge in which two members of their staff raised £719 for our services. CBS staff also took part in the Wolf Run and raised £500 which was matched by CBS to a brilliant £1,000 donation.

Chris Sampson, Service Manager at Cooper’s Lodge, expressed his gratitude for Coventry Building Society’s work on the garden by saying:

“Coventry Building Society staff have generously given their time recently to work on the gardens at Cooper’s Lodge.  They gave us three full days and worked so hard it made us tired watching!  The results are truly miraculous and way beyond our expectations. We thought we would get the garden stripped back and weeded but no… we have new seating areas, new plants, stony and barked areas, painted furniture, painted sheds, new pathways and even a chimenea! It is truly lovely and will be made good use of by staff, volunteers and service users this summer and beyond.  A big thank you to every one of the wonderful CBS staff who got involved.”

Chris Sampson, Service Manager

Thank you so much to everyone involved. We are so grateful for Coventry Building Society’s support and hope to continue working with them in the future.
