Having lived with complex PTSD for an uncountable number of years, I have found that physical exercise has huge benefits to calming my mental health. Exploring different forms of physical activity, I have found that yoga is for me, It not only helps stretch the tense muscles from depression and anxiety out, it gives my mind that space and calm which meditation sadly does not (in my case).
Red January for me is about challenging myself to engage in yoga every day for the whole month of January, knowing how positive and calm I will feel in return. My hope is that I can not only carry out the 30 days of yoga, but continue to develop a daily practice for longer term wellbeing.
To raise funds for Coventry and Warwickshire Mind means so much to me, due to being aware of the tremendous work they offer over such a large geographical area, and through such a variety of different services. So many people benefit from the services throughout Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, and to raise funds, from you, will help support each person who needs help and support with their mental health.
