CW Mind Wins CYP Award
Coventry and Warwickshire Mind has won a national award for children and young people’s mental health.
We were honoured to be presented with the Special Award for Overall Achievement at the Positive Practice in Mental Health (PPIMH) Children and Young People’s Mental Health Awards on May 11.
We were thrilled when it was announced earlier in the year that Coventry and Warwickshire Mind services had been shortlisted for the awards in the following categories:
Additionally, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind supporter Tom Wood had been shortlisted in the Champion of the Year category for his fundraising and campaigning work for our charity.
The ceremony in Stoke-on-Trent was attended by a range of organisations and individuals working in children and young people’s mental health.
While we missed out on the individual awards, it was a huge honour to be announced the winner of the Special Award trophy in recognition of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s work for children and young people in our area.
The trophy was accepted by CW Mind staff and volunteers who travelled to the ceremony.
Alethea Balbuena, Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s Director of Operations, said on behalf of the senior management team: “We were delighted to receive the Special Award for Overall Achievement after being shortlisted for a number of categories.
“This is great recognition for all the excellent work the teams have been doing within Coventry and Warwickshire Mind’s Children and Young People’s services.
“We’d like to thank the judges for the honour of this award.”
