Job Title Benefits Assistant
Location: Coventry
Salary: £6,892 per annum (£17,000 pro rata)
Hours: Part-time – 15 hours (9.30 – 5.00)
Job type: Permanent
Purpose of the job:

To advise and assist residents in relation to claiming welfare benefits, ensuring eligibility where appropriate for housing benefit.  To ensure all housing benefit claims are made in a timely manner.  To offer advice and guidance to Community Support Workers.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of dealing with benefit issues.
  • Clear understanding of key issues within mental health.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Able to use a computer and/or other electronic device.
  • Ability and experience of working with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to travel to venues across Coventry.
